All Too Familiar

“Don’t worry about me… I’ll be fine…”

And she tells me that she is much wiser now.

I’ve recently flooded her Facebook message board with what I thought were friendly pieces of advice.
Her present situation appeared to me as similar to something that happened in the past…
I sensed another heartbreak coming.
And being her bestfriend I have that tendency to come to her rescue when my instinct tells me something wrong is going to happen… again.

But it seemed like she wanted to be left alone just like anybody else.

And I must have worried too much that I have forgotten that she is one grown woman who can take of herself.

For now I’ll just watch and wait…

  1. Sometime we do this, we run to help somebody we love, we are afraid of what this person might be coming through. It's only human Irene.
I am sure your friend understands your reaction.
Take care and thanks for being there for me. xx

    1. Thank you, Marie. Your words described my emotions well. ♡

And you're welcome. I guess this is what being "connected" is all about -- being there for each other, no matter the distance, no matter what the means of communication. Much love and God bless. ♡ :-)

  3. the most important answer is that of patience.
Breakups should be followed by them I guess.

    1. You're right, I do need to be more patient with her. She can be a little stubborn, but then I guess her life is still her own. I can only really give her advice but the decision will still be up to her. I just can't help but worry when I feel like she's not making sound decisions... ♡

  4. Yes, sometimes we just have to step back from a friend or situation when necessary. There are lessons one can only learn on his or her own.
    Blessings, Irene!
