Words From Within

I’m starting to really enjoy writing again…

When I got back to drawing,
I thought it would be a good enough outlet for all my thoughts and emotions.
And so I wrote less frequently.

But I realized that I will always have that irreplaceable connection with words.
Writing has provided me with a unique form of escape,
The kind that no other art forms can ever give me.

The words don’t always come easily, nonetheless.
And I find writer’s block to be a constant companion,
Especially when I worry about so many things.

But the right words always come at the right time for me, it seems.
And at a time when the mind has finally found its peace,

The quiet conversation with the Spirit begins…

  1. I love my tablets, more so than the computer. The conversation with the spirit is more easily heard than in the whir of electronic speed and artificial light.
    Many blessings, Irene!

    1. The computer can be such a distraction, can't it be?

I am more old-fashioned as I prefer to write on a notebook. :-)

Thanks for the lovely visit, Yolanda! Take care and God bless! :-)

  2. Man.. I love your writing! I wish I wrote pretty. I guess since I am always noting down stuff everywhere my hand writing is just so sloppy. It's somewhat embarrassing :/ in some situations.

I use to be a big on writing but now that I write so much I hate writing. I rather type it but I think that's pretty much the same, right? Do whatever you feel is best my love.

  5. Writer's block is a tricky creature and always sneaks up when other stresses are present. But you are definitely right, the right words will come. :)

    1. Yes it is a tricky creature, Chrys. We really do need to try to walk away from whatever gives us stress so that we can find the right words.

Thank you for the lovely visit. <3 :-)

  7. I feel the same as you with words. They just seem to be the only ones that gave me a chance to express myself, my feelings, my hopes, my reality.
Glad you are finding time for writing again Irene. As for writer's block, it's something that we all know a bit about. Patience is the key!
    Take care

    1. I agree with you, Marie. Sometimes words seem to be the only way out and yet they can be very liberating. You're right, we do need to be patient with ourselves whenever we are faced with writer's block because soon the right words will come out.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful insights, Marie! God bless you always! <3 :-)
